Bowling Buzz by Ken Shipley
Bowling for a lifetime
Bowling is a
sport that can begin when your a young boy or girl and continue on
into your late golden years. Most of us who bowl consistently
realize that it can be a fun thing to do and allow us to get out and
meet new people. It can be good exercise for most of us and keep us
active. You know when you wake up the next morning sore after
bowling in your league or even just going out bowling with friends
that you worked those muscles not usually worked! That can be a good
thing. The competition associated with bowling is addictive and with
the handicap system it allows the bowler with a low average to
compete with the best of averages. I personally bowl on 2 leagues
and really enjoy the camaraderie associated with bowling different
teams each week and getting to know all of you.
Last week while
my brother and I were out meeting all of the senior bowlers during
their morning league I was able to meet 2 special people. They
happen to be the oldest female and male bowlers here in Huntsville!
Once I was told of their unique status I immediately ran down to the
office and grabbed my camera.
Later that week I
was also able to get a picture of our youngest bowler here in
Huntsville! Before our family acquired the bowling center I was
bowling often here and I would always see this young boy practicing
while his Mother was watching him and giving him pointers.
I
will introduce these new found celebrities below in pictures:
